Both full bathrooms in this Museum District home needed updating, so we worked with the client to create a timeline that staggered the work so they always had a functional bathroom to use.

For the primary bath, we wanted to keep the original tub, but with a new freestanding faucet and shower ring. We carefully removed the original base tiles, leaving the wall tile intact. We removed the cracked tile flooring, reframed the floor and installed new subfloor, floor and base tile. The bathroom was replumbed and a new wall-mount radiator was installed to save floor space. In the hall bathroom, we removed an existing tub and created a large tiled shower with frameless glass walls and door. Marble wall tile was paired with a marble basketweave tile for the floor. The materials are fresh, yet reminiscent of the home’s era.
