Museum District bath renovation

Newly renovated bath, before shower glass panels were installed

Our clients for this Museum District bath renovation were ready to make some updates to their primary bath which had been renovated twenty-five years ago.

There was a bit of water damage at the tub/floor junction and fixtures were showing wear.  In addition, the owners wanted to re-work the closet area, install a barn door and, overall, change the aesthetic to match their current tastes. A shorter knee wall at the end of the allow more light to enter the space.

Plumbing was reworked to replace Quest supply lines and any damaged drains. The HVAC supply line in the existing closet was reworked to move it into the corner so it could be boxed-in. Wiring for new vanity lights as well as additional recessed lighting was added.

The next photos below are a few shots of putting the space back together according to the new design. The knee wall is now shorter to allow more light into the space.

New subfloor was installed after the existing floor tile was removed along with Schluter Ditra membrane before the new tile was installed.

The closet was re-worked and you can see the boxed in HVAC ducting in the left corner.

Our customers also decided they would like a barn door from the bedroom to the bath so we added that as well:

Shower wall tile was completed along with closet door installation paint, plumbing and electrical fixture installation.

Below are some photos of the finished product.

Originally a sun room/porch, the space has nice natural light and the new color scheme and lower shower knee wall makes the space a bit lighter.

Glass panels on the tub and knee wall would be added later
